The Registry of Motor Vehicles announced last week that they are unveiling additional services following the COVID-19 shutdown:
- Learner's Permit Tests – Individuals who need to take their Learner's Permit Exam can make an appointment to take the examination. Individuals must take the test online at their home up to 60 days after completing their appointment at one of the open Registry Service Centers. Individuals must make a reservation appointment, complete the appointment before being able to complete the test at their home. Reservations can be made here.
- Road Tests – The Registry has resumed public road tests. Initially the Registry is giving preference to individuals who had their road test canceled in March, April and May. The Registry is contacting impacted individuals directly. If you need to complete the road test but were not in the preferred group, you can make reservations here. Test takers must complete the test in a specific state of driving school vehicle. Vehicles will be cleaned after each test. Road test sponsors will not be permitted in the test vehicles.
If you have any questions about completing the permit examination and/or road test, do not hesitate to contact Attorney Gilman.
